Edward Snowden Bust Removed From Brooklyn Park By New York City Park Officials

Only a few people that walked through the Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn noticed the new addition to the Prison Ship Martyrs Monument. A bust of whistleblower Edward Snowden was quietly placed on top of one of the columns by a trio of artists that believe Snowden did the right thing he released thousands of classified documents to the public.

Fort Greene’s Prison Ship Martyrs Monument is a tribute to the American prisoners that lost their lives on British ship during the Revolutionary War. Bernardo Chua told me that the artists believe Snowden is fighting the same kind of tyranny that those prisoners fought. Snowden sacrificed his safety, so Americans would know how corrupt and intrusive the government can be.

New York City Department of Parks And Recreation employees didn’t agree with the artists. Well, some of them may have, but the city wanted the bust gone, even though, the bust blended in with the columns. Fortunately the artists used an adhesive material that could easily be removed so the bust was not damaged when it was taken down. NYPD is investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made.

Dr. Tamer Seckin: Endometriosis Care & Surgery

Dr. Tamer Seckin is a gynecologist and a laparoscopic surgeon. He is Board Certified and has his own private practice located in New York City. He is a known specialist when it comes to endometriosis and laparoscopic surgeries. Dr. Seckin founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America in 2009. This foundation is the first to raise awareness about endometriosis. He is one of the top surgeons in his field. Dr. Seckin received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in recognition of his achievements in women’s health. He is a member of many different organizations and is currently the treasurer and an executive committee member of the International Society of Gynecological Endoscopy. He is also working on genetic research to create the United States first endometriosis tissue bank.

Endometriosis is a painful disease that affects many women and girls. Endometriosis occurs when the endometrium is found on the outside of the uterus. This tissue develops into lesions or growths resulting in pain, infertility, and other problems. One of the primary symptoms of endometriosis is pelvic pain. Most women experience some type of pain during their menstruation cycles but women that have endometriosis describe their pain as far worse than normal. This pain tends to increase over time. Other symptoms include excessive bleeding, pain while urinating, painful periods, and pain during intercourse. Endometriosis is also known to cause infertility. This is why a laparoscopy is useful.

A laparoscopy is used to diagnosis endometriosis. A laparoscopy can help show the size and location of growths. This helps in aiding the treatment process. A laparoscopy is a surgery that uses a lighted thin tube that is placed through an incision. The incision is on the stomach so the abdominal and female organs can be observed. It can help to locate problems that may be occurring such as cysts, infections, and fibroids. Tissue samples are collected for biopsies to be performed. The recovery time is faster than a regular surgery and the patient is asleep during the procedure. Once the procedure is completed the patient needs to follow-up with their doctor so the doctor can explain the results of the surgery.

Most people have little to no discomfort during and after the surgery. A surgeon may perform other surgical techniques during the laparoscopy to treat endometriosis so that everything is done in one operation. When treating endometriosis the surgeon will remove any implants, adhesions, and treat any cysts. They will also repair any damage done to tissues and organs. If you or someone you know suspects they may have endometriosis then discuss all symptoms and problems with your doctor. You may be a good candidate for a laparoscopy surgery. Laparoscopy is the only way to diagnosis endometriosis.

Kudos for Mann

Police across the nation have been the target of protests and violence in recent months, but Keith Mann, a New York businessman, and his wife, Keely, are attempting to show their appreciation instead. As the New York Police Department (NYPD) has been a recent target of such adversity, the Manns sent lunch to the 54th Street precinct twice already this year. “Our officers deserve to be thanked for their service, not attacked in their attempts to keep people safe,” says Mann. “Police men have families too and are people just like you and me behind those uniforms.”

Mann is especially sensitive to the humanity of officers because his uncle is a detective in Staten Island. He says that citizens should be helping the police rather than standing in the way of their efforts as police are trained to respond to difficult situations that most will never encounter. Others feel the same way, as evidenced by a rally for the NYPD in January in which 150 people came out to show their support and by similar rallies that have been held across the United States.

Supporters believe that it is time for the silent majority who still support the police to speak up and make their voices heard. Mann agrees and hopes that others will use even the simplest of actions to show support of those who put their lives on the line to protect citizens each day. Mann, who is currently the CEO of Dynamics Search Partners (DSP), which assists clients in hiring investment, marketing and internal strategy professionals, hopes that such support for police will be continued by others who put their appreciation into some form of action.

Skout Making it Easier To Meet People in NYC

New York offers some pretty unique people, and there are always a ton of people everywhere.  But that doesn’t mean it’s not surprisingly difficult to meet someone.  So I was kicking around Twitter, and saw some of my friends talking about Skout.  Perfect, because you can talk to someone before you choose to meet up, and see if you’re actually compatible.  A unique achievement, because it’s more based on personality than things like Tinder, and has Fuse functionality so I can see who I’m talking to at the same time.

When I went looking online one day to find a social website, when I was turned onto Skout. Because I live on my phone, I decided to download the Skout app, which I thought would be easier to use, instead of navigating through the website.

Most people are on social media today, and I think I’m one of the last persons to finally join in! I read great reviews about Skout, so I decided it was time to try to meet someone on there. I thought if I met a friend that would be great, but I was also open to romance. I created an account, which I was able to do fairly quickly, then I decided that I would put up a picture in my profile, even though it was not required. It didn’t make sense to me to have a profile with no picture.

I started playing with the app to figure out how the features worked, and I fell in love with the “shake to talk” feature. Since I didn’t have any particular person in mind that I wanted to meet, it was really nice to shake my phone, and see a new person show up to chat. Sometimes the person who came up was a man, sometimes it was a woman, but we just talked anyways. Whoever I chat with, would just talk about the news, the weather, or anything that came to mind. Chatting was fun, and would take up many hours in my day.

I was able to find a person who was in my general area, but they live in the city that was 20 miles away. We ended up chatting, and after we talked the first time, I added them to my favorites. I was curious if they had done the same with me, and added me to their favorites, but I couldn’t find this out. I found out that by purchasing Skout points, I could check to see who was searching for me, and if this person had added me as a favorite.

I’m glad I purchased the Skout points on my Droid, because I was able to find out that the person did add me as a favorite, and it made me very excited. When I would go to my favorites list, I always chose this person first, and we would talk for hours. We decided to finally meet, and we had a great night on the town. When we got back home, we would sit on Skout and keep talking, sometimes until daylight.  It was obvious that we had a mutual friendship, something that endured and led to spending holidays together, as I’ve read many other users end up doing. Sometimes when I was at work, I would get virtual gifts from this person.

Virtual gifts on Skout are really cool, because they can be purchased with Skout points, and given to anyone I choose. I was glad that this person chose to give a virtual gift to me, because I really admired them. Skout is highly recommended for anyone looking for a friend, or a life partner.

His mother was a real estate agent and his father a home builder. This allowed him to gain the background necessary for a successful real estate entrepreneur. He then went on to attending the University of Michigan completing a bachelor’s degree. He then continued on to the University of Miami and received a law degree. His level of commitment had surpassed that of his companions and he was set to achieve great things.

By the age of 26, Heiberger had founded Citi Habitats. This brokerage firm was based out of Manhattan and had listings of rentals and properties for sale in the New York area. He later went on to selling this firm after ten years of management. Then in 2005 he went on to opening another company, Buttonwood Development. He successfully led the business into the development of the Greenwich Club Residences. These condominiums became known as one of the most successful developments creating more revenue for the state of New York. These condos sold out quickly and put Heiberger at the top of the list for newer developments in the city. Creating luxury in a luxury seeking city has been his priority. In an interview with the New York Times he answered with the following response, “people here will pay for luxury and want to be serviced all the way through. I learned that amenities are in demand”

As Andrew Heiberger continues to surpass the definition of luxury, others continue to meet expectations that he has set for the industry in Manhattan. Tenants of these developments have gratefully given their money to live in what is truly luxury in Manhattan as services rendered to them continue to meet and exceed their needs.
