The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II Trailer Hints at Shocking Conclusion

Yesterday, Tuesday, June 9, people received their first look at some of the epic events set to unfold in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II in an official trailer.

The first scene showed victors Finnick Odair and Annie Cresta getting married in a garden in District 13 while Katniss Everdeen said, “Nothing good is safe while snow is alive.” As people enjoyed the festivities around the wedding, the next scene revealed Katniss dressed as the Mockingjay and a voiceover: “I can’t make another speech about it.” Katniss, looking tired and worn out in the war room, then said, “Snow has to pay for what he’s done.”

The following scenes showed Katniss motivating the districts to fight against President Snow and preparing herself for the fight. One scene showed the Capital burning and then several scenes showed different aspects of Panem from the downtrodden districts to parties in the Capital followed by scenes of war while Katniss proclaimed, “We all have one enemy! He corrupts everyone and everything. He turns the best of us against each other. Tonight, turn you weapons to the Capital.”

According to FreedomPop, Katniss was also shown hugging Peeta. The next scenes were of fighting and President Snow saying, “Oh, my dear Ms. Eberdeen. Make no mistake. The game isn’t over.”

A massive black liquid also flooded the streets and then Finnick said, “Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the 76th Hunger Games.”
