Chaz Dean is a celebrity hair stylists, known for his A list clientele and zen like demeanor. His salon, Chaz Dean Studio, is located in Hollywood and is a retreat for celebs who want to get away and relax. His hair care line, WEN, has been making waves for the last couple of years. It’s a five in one formula that’s a shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detailed, and a leave in conditioner. It promises to leave your hair shiny, full of bounce, and more hydrated. It has no harsh sulfates like regular shampoos and it claims to not strip your hair of its natural oils. It sounds great for those with dry or coarse hair but what about those with fine hair? Emily McClure from Bustle.com decided to try for herself. She tried Wen for 7 days on her fine hair and recorded the results.
The first two days she showered at night and was taken aback by the sheer volume of product that Wen recommends to put into her hair. Nevertheless, she tried the sephora.com sold product and was impressed by how soft, shiny and voluminous her hair was. However, she did notice that by the next morning, her hair seemed more greasy than usual. The rest of the week, she showered at night and noticed that while her hair fell flat as the day went on, her hair still looked shiny and felt super soft. As the week went on, her hair got less oily and less frizzy. She noted that skipping washes was not recommended with her type of hair but still felt very impressed and satisfied with Wen.
